Are You Prepared?

Well, that title is a bit ominous!

Is the world about to end or something? Do we know something you don’t?

Nope. So don’t worry about that.

But as you read that title, your mind probably went to various places—maybe even wondering if there's something you're not prepared for.

Aging.

You’re a Factory Family member, which already puts you in a small category of people who actively invest in their physical and mental well-being. As we grow into new seasons of life, we can easily start letting go of the things that help us become better, older individuals.

So, we wanted to share a couple of books to help you stay on that journey:

Outlive by Peter Attia

This isn’t a short read, but it’s packed with powerful insights about our mindset and needs as we age—and how to live a fulfilling life, not just exist in older age.

I first heard of Peter Attia through a TV series where he worked with “Thor,” aka actor Chris Hemsworth. The show focused on human psychology, doing hard things, and living our best lives. In it, Attia discusses with Hemsworth how to thrive as we get older.

The book is a great guide to help us do the same.

I’ve already had some great conversations with members about the book and its themes. What better time than now to get everyone in on the knowledge?

Forever Strong by Dr. Gabrielle Lyon

Dr. Lyon is the founder of the Institute of Muscle-Centric Medicine, which focuses on the value of the human body and the critical role muscle plays in our overall health.

As a female physician, she shines a light on the importance of muscle mass in women—a topic that often gets overlooked or misunderstood. But this book offers valuable insight for everyone, discussing metabolism and the health benefits of lean muscle mass across all ages—men, women, and children alike.

Do yourself a favor and find the version of these books—audio, digital, or print—that works best for you. However you take it in, the information is worth it.
